Telco Selects teleSys Software's MACH7-HA Platform
for ADS 500 Class 5 Central Office Switch.
Burlingame, California
February 13, 2001
teleSys Software announced today that Network Telco
has selected its MACH7™-High Availability (HA)
Platform for deployment in their ADS 500 CLASS 5 Central
Office Switch. The MACH7-HA platform provides a turnkey
system with a high availability configuration of the
MACH7- SS7 Stack. The platform includes the necessary
Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that allow
users to easily add their own network service applications.
“Performance,
time to market and high availability were the major
criteria in our selection of the teleSys’ MACH7-HA
Platform,” says Bob Pinckney, President of Network
Telco. “The MACH7-HA Platform will help us to
deploy our ADS 500 Class 5 Central Office Switch in
the networks of Competitive Local Exchange Carriers
(CLECs) so that they can compete effectively in smaller
markets via services such as Voice Over DSL and Cable
telephony.
The
MACH7-HA Platform is a high availability platform
for network equipment providers, application developers,
system integrators and service providers. The platform's
open system architecture offers benefits to companies
deploying new network-based applications, including
“24x7” operations, cost-effective open
platforms, major protocols in the SS7 and IP networks,
and greater than 99.999% (5 Nines) availability.
The
ADS 500 is built around Lucent Technologies' Excel
Switching platform coupled with proprietary software
from Network Telco. With the ADS 500 platform a customer
receives the advantages of all of the reliability
and dependability of a Lucent hardware platform, while
paying a fraction of the cost of a traditional CLASS
5 switch. The difference is in the software. The Network
Telco ADS 500 comes with a flexible and user-programmable
CLASS 5 feature set equal to and at times exceeding
the CLASS 5 features of the much larger traditional
end office switches.
"Partnering
with Network Telco has enabled us to launch our MACH7-HA
Platform in the telecommunications market where reliability,
quality, and time-to-market are essential,”
says Bobby Bahl, CEO of teleSys Software.
“We
are very pleased that Network Telco has chosen teleSys’
MACH7-HA platform,” says Ajit Sadarangani, Vice
President of Sales & Marketing for teleSys Software.
“ This will enable them to provide a highly
reliable, open architecture based product to the CLEC
marketplace.”
