Announces Successful Testing at the 1st M3UA Interoperability
Test
Burlingame,
California
teleSys
Software announces the successful testing of its MTP3
User Adaptation Layer (M3UA) protocol implementation
at the recently concluded 1st M3UA Interoperability
test in Madrid, Spain. teleSys was one of the few
companies that was recognized as having successfully
carried out all of the four different configurations
for the interoperability testing.
"teleSys'
successful interoperability test at the bakeoff further
demonstrates teleSys Software's commitment and expertise
in the SS7 and IP signaling domains," says Bobby
Bahl, CEO of teleSys Software. "teleSys' products
will provide service providers and application developers
the means for reliable SS7 transport over IP networks,
the ability to develop IP based SS7 services and the
ability to deploy these services in IP networks."
The M3UA
Interoperability test was sponsored by IETF and was
held from May 7 to 11, 2001. Fifteen companies attended
the M3UA test and sixteen different M3UA implementations
were carried out. teleSys was successful in testing
its M3UA protocol implementation with other participant's
implementations. M3UA protocols interface is available
on the telesys MACH7-i STP Gateway and the MACH7-Controller.
The implementation also served to test teleSys Software's
Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) implementation.
"teleSys
is committed to implementing new standard based protocols
to improve flexibility, which will enable our customers
to deploy new revenue generating services," says
Ajit Sadarangani, Vice President of Sales & Marketing
for teleSys Software.
M3UA operates
over the SCTP for transporting SS7 signaling messages
over IP networks. The M3UA layer supports a network
layer service interface to the ISUP and SCCP SS7 signaling
protocols and provides a means for message handling
and network management for SS7 applications on an
IP network. Furthermore, SCTP is a reliable transport
protocol so a fault tolerant interface to the M3UA
layer is also provided.
