teleSys
announces general availabilty of the MACH7 iSTP Platform.
San Mateo, California

teleSys
announces general availability of the MACH7 iSTP platform,
which provides unparalleled reliability, capacity
and throughput at an exceptional value, with the highest
level of performance and network security. The platform
supports a variety of value-added feature options,
including the following:
- Global
Title Translation (GTT)
- Gateway
Screening (GS)
- Application
Transport Access
- MACH7fe
Control Chassis
- High
Speed Links (HSL)
The Global Title Translation feature provides support
for the signaling connection control part (SCCP) of
the ANSI and ITU SS7 protocol. The address of a destination-signaling
node is obtained by combining the global title and
the called party address provided by the message originator.
The Gateway Screening feature provides two levels
of screening for network security, at the message
transfer part (MTP), and signaling connection control
part (SCCP) level. The feature is user-friendly, with
simple Graphical User Interface (GUI) commands, and
speedy download capability. The Application Transport
Access feature redirects specific Ss7 message signaling
units to a customized application. The feature intercepts
messages that originate from the SS7 network and require
further application processing, and redirects them
to a specific application for further processing.
The
MACH7fe Control Chassis provides a high-density, cost-effective
solution to increase signaling capacity, support global
connectivity, decrease space requirements, and reduce
costs. The MACH7fe allows the platform to accommodate
up to 144 E1 or T1 channels per fe control shelf.
The High Speed Links interface modules provide greater
bandwidth by using asynchronous transfer mode (ATM)
technology.
SIGTRAN
SS7
over IP transport can provide significant savings
for customers with long-haul links or geographically
diverse needs and more bandwidth flexibility than
traditional signaling links. The IP transport feature
delivers high-capacity network solutions, providing
a cost efficient, reliable, scalable approach for
handling future signaling growth.
