NACT partners with teleSys and their MACH7-iSTP software to build new H323 Sinaling Interface.

San Mateo, California
April 09, 2002

teleSys Software announced today that NACT, A Verso Technologies Company (Nasdaq NMS: VRSO), has partnered with teleSys to build NACT's H.323 signaling interface. Built using teleSys' MACH7-iSTP software, the new interface will enable NACT's intelligent switching gateways to inter-work and control any H.323 device. The MACH7-iSTP software is a signaling platform that supports inter-working between SS7 and H.323 networks.

In today's highly competitive telecommunications industry, communications service providers are eager to deploy VoIP technologies that can improve operational efficiencies and generate new revenue streams. Currently, most VoIP networks have been deployed using H.323 as the signaling protocol, making it necessary to deploy signaling gateways that "bridge" the communication of these networks to traditional SS7 signaling networks.

The teleSys MACH7-iSTP software is a highly reliable, open system signaling platform that allows easy implementation of protocol conversion between disparate networks. The High Availability (HA) module offers a cost effective, distributed, redundant system with 99.999% (5 Nines) availability.

"What impressed us most about teleSys was their focus on speed to market while offering a cost effective, open architecture platform to meet our current and future signaling requirements," said Lindsay Wallace, President of NACT. "By partnering with teleSys, we can offer our customers a new product that will enable them to expand their business more cost effectively by leveraging their existing IPAX and STX intelligent switching gateways in markets where terminating partners have existing H.323-based networks."

"We are extremely pleased that NACT has selected our MACH7-iSTP software," says Bobby Bahl, CEO of teleSys Software. The MACH7-i STP software provides NACT with a cost-effective platform on which to build its fully integrated signaling interface to help its service provider customers interoperate between incompatible networks."
